Quick answer
Both the Barnyard Christmas-XL and Blast Off-XL Pocket diapers share the same XL size fit and closure system, so your choice comes down to print preference and the subtle difference in the inner lining fabric.
Same XL fit, different lining
Both diapers are built on the same XL Pocket shell, fitting babies and young children from about 10 to 70 pounds. The key difference is the inner lining: the Barnyard Christmas-XL uses a gray AWJ (Athletic Wicking Jersey) fabric, while the Blast Off-XL Pocket features a grey AWJ wide back elastic. This means the Blast Off offers a slightly wider elastic panel at the back, which can help keep messes contained for very active babies.
Closure and snap details
Both diapers use a dirty closure (snap-down laundry tab) and cross-over snaps for a custom fit. They share the same wide pocket opening (5 cm), tummy panel, hip snaps, and 3x4 rise snap settings. The insert is not included with either diaper, so you'll need to pair them with your preferred absorbency.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Barnyard Christmas-XL: Features a gray AWJ inner lining without the wide back elastic. The print is a festive farmyard scene with reds and greens. Choose this if you prefer a classic holiday print and don't need the extra back containment.
- Blast Off-XL Pocket: Includes a grey AWJ lining with wide back elastic for added leak protection. The print is a space-themed rocket design. Choose this if your baby is very active or you want extra security against back leaks.
- Shared features: Both diapers use the same XL shell, dirty closure, cross-over snaps, 5 cm pocket opening, tummy panel, hip snaps, and 3x4 rise snaps. Insert not included. Your decision is purely about print preference and the back elastic detail.
